How I felt not so long ago
My heart overwhelmed with sadness
My soul lost in despair
From the very depths of hell
I have emerged
Torn and tattered
Belittled and betrayed
Now I stand, still breathing, before a future
Uncertain, but clearly it lies before me
I shall continue the journey
The past I will leave behind
