Hello and welcome to my little corner of the Internet. My name is Carrie and I am 24 years old. I love Billy Joel and "The X-Files" and I spend a lot of time with my two sweet kitties, surfing the Web or writing poetry, some of which I will share with you through this site.
I also suffer from two debilitating conditions called Sjogren's Syndrome and Fibromyalgia Syndrome. This means that I live in a constant state of pain. Sjogren's Syndrome is an autoimmune disease that often causes dry eyes and dry mouth, but can also cause arthritis, muscle pain and terrible fatigue. Fibromyalgia Syndrome causes general body pain, chronic fatigue, trouble sleeping and numerous other problems. Because I live with these two conditions, I am no longer able to work or do many of the activities I find enjoyable. I suppose I could stay in bed all day and be depressed, but what kind of life would that be? SJS and FMS are a part of who I am. God intended for me to have these conditions. It is not my place to ask why.
